Most times of the year, please allow 15 working days (3 weeks) for our Leather Artisan, Fiona Ritchie, to make your order, plus Courier Delivery time.

It is unlikely that your order can be made quicker than the completion time.
The wings / initials plates are engraved by a specialist engraver, and the speed at which they can engraved plate orders are out of Sparrowhawk Leather's control. Also, time needs to be allowed for the plate to be couriered from the engraver to Sparrowhawk.
More time may be needed at certain times of the year including Christmas, and in January when our plate engravers close for holidays.
When we receive your order, we will advise Fiona's making time having first contacted the plate engravers about their production time. Please be aware that orders may take longer to make at Christmas, and our plate engravers close for their annual holidays for part of January.
If you want to gift your piece earlier than Fiona is able to make it; we can prepare a personalised Gift Card with your message and details of the piece you have ordered, plus expected delivery date.
If you would like the person to be able to specify their own piece, you may choose to purchase a Gift Certificate instead.

No. The letters need to fit inside the circle. To try and fit more letters would mean increasing the size of the wings / initials plate, so it would be too large and out of proportion with the logbook; or decreasing the size of the letters, so that the initials would be too small and the legibility may be compromised.
Please consider another logbook cover such as a laser engraved logbook cover or embossed initials logook cover.

Fiona has recommended colour combinations that she knows work well with this design.
If you would like another hand dyed colour, please Contact Fiona.
If you wish to see a WIP photo, please be aware it will take us time to photograph and email, and Fiona will have to stop work, and recommence later while waiting for your approval, so our completion may be delayed. An additional administration fee of NZD $15 will apply.

Your Sparrowhawk Leather piece will match the photograph and descriptions on our website, except for the natural variations found in leather, through hand dyeing, and any customisation that you have requested. i.e. colour. It will give you a reasonable amount of service given reasonable use and leather care.

If there is a problem with your Sparrowhawk Leather piece, please contact us. If your piece has been used in a reasonable fashion for its function, and you have taken care of the leather in line with our Care Instruction, in most circumstances we will repair your piece free of charge.
